Basic Workshop
COST: $125 (includes all materials; film, watercolor paper, tools, equipment)
Intensive, hands on workshop. Bring 10 slides
& your photographs (slides can be made from your photographs at Epperson's
in OKC).
Basic Class Overview:

Experiment with image & emulsion
transfers on watercolor paper |

Learn to use the Daylab slide printer;
how to crop the image, how to use the filters, how to achieve different
effects with dry or wet paper, a fast or slow peel of the negative, &
exposure time |

Learn lots of techniques that make your images come out
great |

Experiment with emulsion lifts using the photo positives that you
lift off the photo paper and relay onto the watercolor paper; manipulate,
distort or stretch the emulsion for interesting effects |

Experiment
with small collages on the Copy System Pro using your photographs and small
objects |

You will create 12 to 15 pieces by the end of the class |

Advanced Workshop
COST: $125 (includes all materials; film, watercolor paper, tools, equipment)
For those that have taken the full day basic workshop
or if you've been working with transfers a while. Bring your slides, your
positives and the transfers you made from the Basic Workshop. We will
be experimenting with transfers on different surfaces. Bring surfaces
you want to try; glass, metal, fabric, handmade paper, tile, rock, already
glazed clay (if fabric, wash it well first). Everyone usually has a favorite
surface so you don't need to bring anything that doesn't interest you. Experiment
with 'sandwiched slides', double images, double exposures, double emulsion
lifts, handcoloring with pastels or watercolor pencils. Bring small found
objects & several 4 x 6 photographs to try out the new Copy System
Pro, making image transfers straight from photos & objects and also
small collages.
