Glenn Fillmore - Photographer
It's all about the emotion...
Most photographers will tell you "It's all about the light." I strongly
disagree.
Light is but a tool I use to capture the emotion I feel when my eye finds
the perfect natural image that takes my breath away. My goal as a
photographer is to capture, preserve, and share that emotional experience.
ARTIST'S BIO
Glenn received his first camera at the age of five and a camera has been his
constant companion throughout his life. He learned to experience the
excitement of taking and then developing his own photographs in his
Grandfather's darkroom in Wichita, Kansas with Granddad Fillmore at his
side.
Eighteen years in the Navy as a submariner and then with Naval intelligence,
exposed him to the much larger world beyond Wichita but delayed his
full-time pursuit of the photographer's art. The demands of running a
computer company for twenty years in Washington, D.C. further delayed the
full-time pursuit of his photographic vision. But when the opportunity arose
to travel to Africa on a photographic safari in 1999, his life-long desire
to pursue photography on a full-time basis was rekindled. He hasn't looked
back.
