Cynthia Wolf, owner of the Adelante! Gallery, is honored to host award winning pastel artist, Clive R. Tyler from Taos, New Mexico. Tyler's paintings are known for capturing a sense of place, the heart of the Western landscape. His unique pastel paintings, rich with light and color, are created in a classical oil painting style. "I really go for peaceful scenes. I want to give people a place they can stare at in the painting, like a meditation area."

Clive was selected in Jan. 09 as one of the Top Ten Artists to Collect & Watch in Southwest Art Magazine, winner of 6 awards from the Pastel Journal in the last 3 years, participates in Quick Draws yearly and offers a limited number of plein air workshops a year. Meet the artist at the Opening May 1st & May 2nd and see his new original pastel paintings at the Adelante! Gallery, 3003 Paseo in OKC. Tyler is offering a 3 day & a 2 day Plein air pastel workshop May 4th-6th & May 8th & 9th. Workshops are limited to 10-12 students and are relaxed, fun, full of information and participants receive individualized attention.
